A lot of those who trade on Betfair trade the horse racing markets, however in recent years a new breed of trader has emerged that focus purely on the correct score market. I am writing this article assuming you already have some knowledge of trading on Betfair, if you don’t you should really read up on it before reading further.

Correct Score trading is a little bit different from usual trading where you can watch the weight of money or trends to base your decision on. the odds movements are caused by goals, or in some cases having no goals. When a goal goes in you can see some enormous swings in the odds which leaves plenty of space for some huge profits to be made by backing and then laying a certain score.

A common strategy a lot of football traders use is to pick a scoreline such as 2-1 to the favourite. Reason being that when a goal goes in the odds on the 2-1 scoreline drop, no matter who scores the goal. For example, the odds on 2-1 may start the match at decimal odds of 10. If the favourite scores the opening goal the odds on 2-1 can drop to around 8, however if the underdog scores the first goal the odds can drop to 6 in some cases That’s a pretty big swing

No strategy is ever foolproof, as if the match has no goals you won’t make any money So match selection is as crucial as ever.

Also, make sure you have a good Betfair Trading Software application running. once those odds move the trading software will do all the calculations you need to lock in the maximum profit and this can be done within a click of the mouse. this will save a lot of time and sweat rushing to enter a stake just to see the odds move again and again while the match is live

One thing to remember when trading the Correct Score on football matches is that there is very rarely one strategy to fit all matches. Almost every football match is unique in its own way so its best to try and develop your own strategies to suit this.

When it comes to sports betting there have been several interesting innovations in the last couple of years, all of which coming from the online sector. TopBetta have managed to create an interesting platform which lets you set up sportsbetting tournaments for you and your friends. the idea is that everybody puts in a stake and then is given some play money to bet anyway they want on the weekends football, rugby or other sport of your choice and whoever manages to win the most from their original pot of fake money wins the pot.

Sounds fun right? Well it is. there are a few issues with the system at the moment seeing as it is relatively new and some exotic bets aren’t yet available. However there are plans to add those in the near future. where this game really comes into its own is the private tournaments as we said earlier which you can set up yourself. However there are some other great features. you can actually bet for free with the promotional money you get when you sign up in real money tournaments and win real cash from nothing. Can’t really complain about that.

TopBetta also offers the traditional style of online betting so you should be good to go if your looking for a sportsbookto handle all of your needs and aren’t really that into exotic bets. Online Betting has been moving in a more social direction for a while. With pier to pier betting attempts being made by several operators, after all the biggest market in sports betting is actually the bets that friends make between one another.

TopBetta: A New Way To Bet

Using the technique of matched betting, and a bit of knowledge, a clever person can make money from a bet regardless of the outcome of the event. The bettor will use one of the free bets as the stake money, and invest their own money in a matching bet on the opposite outcome. That is, the bettor uses the free bet to back and his or her own money to lay on the outcome. Betting to win on one side and betting to lose on the other can earn online bucks for the clever bettor. there are hundreds of bookmaker sites opening every day, so the potential to earn bucks by matched betting is virtually unlimited.

Human error is the only real risk of losing money when a bettor exploits the opportunity for matched betting (also called matched arbitrage). because odds change rapidly, and you will be placing bets over different sites simultaneously, it is easy to make a mistake. some sites offer free software downloads to help you keep track of odds and betting. several companies have developed expensive software which can help you keep track of your bets. Whether you use software or not, you must be organized, accurate, and fast when placing your bets across several different sites.

Make sure that you read the fine print on every site where you intend to place bets. some bookmakers will keep your stake, and others return it. this policy can make the difference between breaking even and earning bucks online. usually the free bets are no return on the stake.

As with any venture, the more capital you invest the greater the potential to increase your online earnings. Matched arbitrage, or any online arbitrage betting venture, will be more profitable if you have more bucks to invest. some sites recommend at least $1,000 at a minimum of 20 sports bookmakers in order to cover all possible outcomes. Your potential profits are limited only by the amount of money you have to place up front. if you are trying to work with only a few thousand dollars, your profit will be used to cover fees and other transaction costs.

Although the Internet has made matched arbitrage and sports betting arbitrage accessible to many more people, there are obstacles that many can not overcome to earn bucks with online betting. The biggest obstacles to profiting from matched arbitrage are a lack of capital investment, not enough time, and poor organizational skills. No matter how clever or dedicated a bettor, he or she can not realize a profit without capital. on the other hand, someone with lots of capital will not realize a profit if they are not organized and do not spend the time necessary to find potential arbitrage opportunities.

Clever Bettors Make Money Online With Matched Betting

We will see the first Tuesday card in a long time with the “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung facing off against Dustin Poirier possibly for the chance to face the winner of Aldo-Koch for the featherweight title.

Donald Cerrone vs. Jeremy Stephens

This is a great fight. I would even argue it could headline this event based on the name value on Stephens and Cerrone. both fighters love to stand and bang and we’ve seen how good Stephens can be when he comes off a loss. Cerrone is also coming off a tough loss to Nate Diaz, but didn’t look at his best in that fight. this is a step down in competition for him, but a great fight.

Prediction: Cerrone via unanimous decision

Amir Sadollah vs. Jorge Lopez

Sadollah has had is ups and downs since winning the Ultimate Fighter. He hasn’t had a lot of fights due to injuries and needs a win to show he belongs. Lopez is in his second UFC fight and this could be make or break for his UFC career. He lost his debut and a win could cause him to be cut. if Sadollah hadn’t won TUF he would be on the chopping block too, but still is in serious trouble of being a draw on only name.

Prediction: Sadollah via unanimous decision

Chan Sung Jung vs. Dustin Poirier

The Korean Zombie has had a meteoric rise up the featherweight division. after suffering two straight losses to end his WEC career, he has won two straight, most recently against former no. 1 contender, Mark Hominick. Poirier is undefeated in his UFC career and at 23 years old can make a huge statement that he is a force as he grows. this fight has huge title implications, especially with the disarray at featherweight. A win for either could mark a title shot next.

Prediction: Poirier via unanimous decision

UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier Main Card Predictions

I play a round of mean soccer with my MALE soccer buddies every Wednesday night. I’m the only rose among the thorns. During each game, I simply forget that they are guys. I just concentrate on the game of eleven players against eleven players.

You may be curious to know which position does this rose cover? as I’m extremely nibble, agile and have excellent reflexes, I ‘man’ the goalposts. yes, I’m the goalkeeper.

Mind you, the job of goalkeeping may be the most difficult job on the soccer pitch because the actions can come so fast and quick.

The goalie needs to possess the capacity to be razor sharp in concentration at a moment’s notice even though he/she may not have much to do for the last 89 minutes.

Now, why do these thorns trust their rosie goalkeeper. simply because I made a mean goalie. my defenders have absolute confidence in this last woman standing.

The great Brian Clough once said a good goalkeeper could be worth 15 points a season. It has been 360 minutes without my conceding a goal and I’m proud of this humble record.

I realized that playing a soccer game and placing a soccer bet have a lot of similarities. There are ups, there are downs, and sometimes there are turnarounds in the game or bet.

However, I’ve found that in soccer live betting, most of the unpredictables in the game can be decoded.

The odds provided by the bookmakers are a reflection of the performance of the teams on the pitch from the bookmakers’ point of view. So when we go along with the bookmakers’ reading of the game as reflected by the odds, we cannot be far off.

This makes soccer live betting a literal gold-mine IF we can possess the skill to decode the odds and place our winning bets. with so many live bets being offered on every match day, there’s plenty of profitable actions to be had.

(Live betting is also popularly known as bet in-play, in-running, in-game and running ball).

I was searching for a soccer live betting book which can teach me the techniques to decode the odds which is the integral part in profitable live betting. I found what I wanted in this 108 page soccer live betting system and let me show you what I’ve discovered.

1) Match Fixing at this Tail End Of the Soccer Season

The soccer season in Europe has reached the tail end. Games have been played and matches have been won and lost.

It is at this point of the season that the rumours of match fixing will rear its ugly head.

How could we ignore the gossips when completely unexpected results happen. especially when this is the crucial point of the season when teams are fighting for coveted places to play in an European competition, or to avoid relegation.

Of course, in soccer, just like in any sport, there are always freak results. Just one error in judgement by a referee or a linesman can make a difference between winning and losing.

For normal bets, unless the punter has access to the match fixing syndicate, it can be difficult for him to ‘smell out’ the suspicious matches. he has to be vigilant on any abnormal odds swings or prices too good to be true. the onus is on himself to be alert before placing his bets.

For live bets, as the odds are adjusted according to how the match is moving, if a syndicate has fixed a game, say the Home team to lose the match, their poor play would have been reflected in the odds movements. So you can say that this is one advantage live bets have over normal bets, provided you can decode the odds.

2) the Main thing That this system has Taught Me

This book opened up my eyes to look at the odds from a different angle – the angle which brought in the dole. I didn’t know the secret is hidden in the odds. once you discover it, you’ll realize how easy it is to make money in soccer live betting.

I love the chapter on Timing Of the Bets. the author has meticulously explained the rationale in determining the best profitable times to place the bets. the screen-shots made it real easy to understand.

3) the no. 1 Tip I’ve Learned

For me, the no. 1 tip I’ve learned is the discipline to follow the criteria of each of the 10 strategies.

I realized the criteria form the foundation of the strategy and by following them strictly, I’ll not be tempted to deviate due to any emotion.

I’ll only place my bets when the selection meets the criteria 100%. this discipline makes me place each bet with utmost confidence.

4) the no. 2 Tip I’ve Learned

I realized a good betting system must be complemented with sensible money handling knowledge.

This book has an in-depth coverage on money management rules especially in staking plan and stop win/stop loss limit.

I once followed a system which recommended doubling up the next stake amount to cover the last loss. in one weekend, I lost 90% of my bank.

So knowing how to handle my betting money is the no. 2 tip.

5) Why Is this system the Complete System

I love to describe things in terms of hardware and software.

In this system book, the 10 strategies are the hardware. but to get the system going towards the profitable mode, it is necessary to install an efficient software to ensure consistent profit.

In this book, the author took pains to expound on the virtues of maintaining a winning mindset and dealing with emotions of fear and greed, every punter’s worst enemies.

The chapter on fear and greed is most valuable as the author painted a few betting scenarios to illustrate the point that the distinction between the successful punters and the unsuccessful lot is how they deal with these two emotions.

6) which Strategy Every Punter should Know

Out of the 10 strategies, I feel every live bettor should be well versed with the cut Loss Strategy in order to limit any financial damage whenever needed.

Many things can happen in 90 minutes on the soccer pitch. To me, it is very comforting to know that there is a strategy of a Plan B when the original strategy is not working. this is my favourite strategy because I love back doors.

7) How does this system Benefit You

With the 10 strategies, you’ll know exactly what to do when the betting opportunities present themselves.

You’ll not be led by emotion, or relying on luck, or by guesstimates to place your bets.

The odds which are a reflection of the performance of the two teams on the pitch will tell you what to do.

8) can you really make $1200 in 3 Hours

Yes, you definitely can. There are so many live games offered on every match day. with the 10 strategies, you can generate regular profits easily.

Of course, your profit figure will depend on your stake amount. Always bet within your comfort zone.

9) What If You’ve no Experience in Soccer Live Betting

Do not fret. the system can be used even by an absolute beginner. Every strategy is described clearly. There are snapshots explaining each step of the strategy. So there is no guesswork. Every step is supported by the odds movement.

This system does not rely on injuries, previous match previews, weather condition, etc. It does not require hours of analysis on every match day.

You just need to acquire the know-how to read the odds movements.

Having the ability to decode the odds takes emotion out of the live betting equation. you bet based on what happens on the pitch, not whether Team A is your beloved team or Team X is your most hated club. this is the money making beauty of soccer live betting.

The Best Guide for the PE19 Area

The start of the 2012 Formula One season is fast approaching and two-time defending champion Sebastian Vettel starts as a firm favourite in the betting to end the year as world champion. the German driver is aiming for a hat trick for Red Bull this year and he is the 10/11 favourite with Stan James ahead of the new season.

Vettel dominated the sport for a second year in a row last season as he claimed  the World Drivers Championship with four races to spare and he eventually finished 122 points clear of Jenson Button in second. his Red Bull was easily the quickest and most consistent car around and Vettel will no doubt look to base his title bid on dominating qualifying again.

With Red Bull expected to be so strong again this season it is a surprise that Vettel’s teammate Mark Webber is as long as 14/1 to win the drivers’ championship. the Australian is still searching for his maiden world title after he eventually finished third last time. the talent is undoubtedly there but is the Red Bull number two receiving enough support from his team?

The same question applies to Fernando Alonso at Ferrari as the Italian team face a huge challenge to produce a car that matches the undoubted talent and ambition of the Spaniard. They have been playing down the form of their car in pre-season testing but Alonso, the 2007 world champion, still starts as a 5/1 second favourite for the championship this year after finishing fourth in 2011.

Lewis Hamilton will be hoping his McLaren car can be more consistent after a turbulent 2011 season for the Englishman. Hamilton has failed to finish higher than fourth since winning the title in 2008 and his return of just three race wins last season was hugely disappointing. Hamilton is 11/2 for the title with Stan James but he will need to cut out the errors and controversy that plagued his efforts last year.

Hamilton’s contract expires at the end of 2012 and he could quickly find himself falling behind teammate Jenson Button in the pecking order. Button was a respectable runner-up in the drivers’ championship last year and the 2009 champion looks a tempting punt at 8/1 this season. he is 6/4 for a top three finish and he looks better value than his teammate as they compete in a new McLaren car. Button has won the Australian Grand Prix twice in the past three years and he will be looking to get his season off to a flier in Melbourne on Sunday 18th March.

Meanwhile, the Mercedes pair will hope to improve on their efforts of last year, with Nico Rosberg priced 22/1 and seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher 25/1. 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen makes his return to the sport with Lotus Renault and he is 40/1 with Stan James.

Pre-season testing has proven to be confusing so far as the big teams have opted to keep their powder dry but it is no surprise that the bookies expect Red Bull to dominate again as they are 10/11 to win the Constructors’ Championship. McLaren are 7/4 to claim their first constructors title since 1998, while Ferrari are 6/1 and Mercedes 12/1. Williams (250/1), who endured their worst ever season last year, and Sauber (200/1) have impressed in testing but they have it all to do to make an impression in 2012.

2012 Formula One Betting Preview: Vettel odds on for three in a row

BIRMINGHAM, UK – The fallout from the 2011-12 Premier League season has started already with Aston Villa sacking Alex McLeish as manager after a miserable 11 months in charge at Villa Park since his controversial move from Birmingham City. McLeish now has the dubious honour of being hated by both sets of fans in Birmingham after nearly leading Villa to the Championship. there are plenty of interesting candidates for the job, generally considered one of the biggest jobs in English football despite the club’s current standing.

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert is top of the list in the betting, having been cut from 8/1 at Ladbrokes to just 5/2 with the same firm and William Hill. Unproven at a big club, Lambert has done a phenomenal job at Norwich in leading them to two successive promotions and Premier League security in just three seasons. the dour Scot would not be overawed by the expectations at Villa and could bring forth a revival of fortunes for the Premier League’s sleeping giant. anyone that backed Lambert at 8/1 got some good value as 5/2 looks a bit too short to be backing at the moment.

Robert Martinez is currently favourite to get the job with most firms but Sportingbet quote a standout price of 3/1 about the popular Spaniard being Villa’s next manager. Martinez has earned plenty of praise and respect this season as he lead Wigan to safety. his belief in his players to avoid relegation was remarkable and went against practically everyone who had condemned Wigan to the drop. That kind of belief in players could lead to a Villa revival and the 3/1 looks a decent price. At the time of writing bet365 cut Martinez to 8/15.

One manager who has been out of the Premier League for a while and talking about wanting another job is Rafa Benitez. Also linked to the West Brom job, Benitez may well prefer a chance to manage Villa if given the opportunity as they are a bigger club. the former Liverpool, Valencia and Inter Milan supremo is top priced at 16/1 at BetVictor, which might be value. one negative for Benitez’s chances is how much he would cost, as Villa have tended to hire managers with lower wage demands than him.

Alan Curbishley seems to be in every next manager betting market. could this be the job that tempts him out of his extended leave from the game? BetVictor quote best odds of 20/1 about him being Villa’s next permanent manager.

Celtic coach Neil Lennon is also a 20/1 shot at Boylesports and Stan James and doesn’t look worth a bet at the price considering he has unfinished business with the SPL champions.

Brighton manager Gus Poyet has done a fantastic job at the Championship side and would be an inexperienced but interesting choice by the Villa board. the 25/1 with Skybet about him being the next permanent Aston Villa manager looks about right and is probably worth avoiding.

Current Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton has had some speculation over his future of late but would probably be the last name in Villa fans’ minds to take over from McLeish. He is top priced at 33/1 with BetVictor, but as short as 8/1 at Skybet to succeed “Big Eck” yet again.

Former Villa manager John Gregory, who has just been sacked manager of FC Kairat in Kazakhstan, is a 33/1 shot with Stan James and could prove a popular choice amongst the Villa faithful. Gregory offers some value in the current betting as he could be seen as a good choice to steady the sinking ship that is Aston Villa.
